Summary Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. Responsibilities Serves as a teacher and provides integrated programs in educational training to inmates. Will be required to teach programs such as the following; Literacy, General Educational Development (GED), and English-as-a-second language (ESL). The primary responsibility of this position is to provide direct instruction in the classroom. Plans and implements an individualized instructional program based on assessment data, knowledge of teaching strategies, learning styles, and availability of resources.
