Teaching Assistant

About the role

This newly created role will be part of the Occupational Therapy Team, and provide

outstanding service and support to our ākonga (learners) and kaimahi (staff) in the new Work Augmented Learning delivery of the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy programme. You will be based on-site at a Regional Learning Hub in either Bannockburn, Central Otago Campus or at one of Te Ta Tokerau Campuses* where the learners come onsite on Tuesdays. 

Your primary responsibilities will be assisting ākonga in their learning journey by:

· Supporting ākonga engagement, retention and wellbeing 

· Facilitating learning activities planned in collaboration with kaimahi

· Maintaining tikanga and ensuring cultural processes are followed as appropriate

· Timekeeping so that full use of the day is enabled
