Teaching Assistant GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB The Teaching Assistant supports instructional staff in delivering educational services to students in accordance with New York State Education Department regulations. Under the general supervision of a certified teacher, the Teaching Assistant assists with instruction, supervision, and classroom management to promote a safe and effective learning environment. This position functions in compliance with NYSED regulations governing Teaching Assistants and operates under the direction of a certified teacher at all times. 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Full-time, 10-month, tenure track assignment.
