Job Description

Outwood Primary Academy Lofthouse Gate is seeking a Teaching Assistant and Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their academy from the 1st of September 2026.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work as a Teaching Assistant during the morning periods, supporting the teaching and learning of Maths and English under the direction of teaching staff. In the afternoon they will work as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, covering the PPA of class teachers. This role involves working collaboratively to assist teachers in the whole planning cycle and managing the class.

The working pattern is 16 hours as a Teaching Assistant and 12.5 hours as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Monday to Friday during term time, plus two additional days.
