Teaching Assistant

Work with individual students or groups of students, in co-operation with Class Teacher

Support the learning needs of students in the class, under the direction of the Class Teacher

Whilst teaching, act consistently with the Class Teacher, and our school’s Teaching and Learning Policy and curriculum documentation

Accompany students to specialist lessons for Art, Music, PE and Library and co-operatively support Specialist Teachers of those subjects

During Language lessons, handover students to the respective Language Teachers at the start of the lessons and collect them at the end of the lessons. Support the Class Teacher during this period

Assume responsibility for the class if/when the Class Teacher is unavailable for short periods
