Job Purpose:

The Teaching Experience Supervisor provides guidance, support, and assessment to student teachers during their teaching practice placements in Gauteng schools. The role ensures that pre-service teachers effectively integrate theory with practice and develop the professional skills, knowledge, and attitudes required for successful teaching in South African schools.

Duties & Responsibilities: Observing and evaluating the student teachers’ performance during student teaching experiences in appropriate classroom settings. Providing feedback essential to the student teachers regarding the content of observation and evaluation. Ensuring and assisting the student teachers to reflect on their performance, identifying both strengths and areas of needed improvement regarding teaching /learning objectives, goals, strategies/approaches.
