Technical Superintendent (PCC)

Look after a group of car carrier ships and keep them ready to sail safely Plan and arrange timely repairs, maintenance and inspections Keep track of how each ship is running and spending using the company's maintenance and fleet software Organise and oversee dry-docking work, from planning to being on-site Work with classification societies, port authorities and parts suppliers to fix issues quickly Check and approve orders for spare parts and supplies while staying within budget Visit ships regularly to make sure they follow ISM, ISPS and MARPOL safety rules Look into faults, accidents, and close calls, then put fixes in place to stop them happening again Keep up with new shipping rules and make sure all ships follow them on time Write reports on ship performance for managers and owners Requirements A degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or a similar field; a Class 1 Marine Engineer certificate is a plus At least 5 years of related experience, ideally with car ...
