Job Description
- Own and guide the connector validation domain for new product development, change validation, and field issue replication.
- Define validation plan aligned with product safety, customer specifications, and industry standards.
- Design, execute, and optimize validation programs that include:
- Mechanical tests : Durability, retention force, insertion/extraction force, wear analysis, mating cycles.
- Electrical tests : Contact resistance, insulation resistance, dielectric withstand voltage, signal integrity.
- Environmental tests : Thermal shock, humidity, corrosion (salt spray), vibration, dust/water ingress (IP ratings), etc.
- Drive root cause analysis and field failure investigation for validation failures using tools such as SEM, micro-sectioning, FEA correlation, etc.
