Job Purpose To inspect, repair, and straighten damaged trailer chassis and structural components using specialised equipment and repair techniques, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Assess damaged trailer chassis and identify structural defects. Measure chassis alignment using approved measuring equipment. Straighten and repair trailer chassis using hydraulic pulling equipment, jigs, and other specialised tools. Repair or replace damaged structural components where required. Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication work as necessary. Ensure all chassis repairs comply with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. Conduct final inspections to verify structural integrity and alignment. Maintain workshop equipment and ensure it is used correctly. Keep accurate records of repairs completed.
