Transport Operator
Location: Stowmarket
Salary: £13.33 per hour (£14.93 with advanced holiday pay)
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - 06:00 to 15:00
Contract: Temporary ongoing
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all client processes and procedures are adhered to across all operational activities.
- Take responsibility for afternoon transport planning, including: planning vehicle utilisation effectively; dispatching and debriefing drivers in line with company policy; ensuring all paperwork is accurately completed and correctly filed; maintaining depot compliance on the Tacho management system and ensuring all infringements are reviewed and signed off promptly; investigating and resolving missing mileage; managing vehicle breakdowns and defects promptly; providing a clear, accurate handover at the end of the shift; carrying out a full yard and deck walk‑around at the start and end of each shift; checking the system and takin...
