Transportation Coordinator (18-month contract), Sunday - Wednesday, 6am - 4pm

Responsibilities

Position Summary: The Transportation Coordinator role supports the Transportation department with administrative tasks. He or she supports planning the hourly workforce while nurturing an environment that maximizes employee safety, involvement and morale. The coordinator has to communicate with the drivers and with different teams and departments.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Plan and execute daily manpower Requirements for current day and week, keeping overtime to a minimum
• Assign daily work duties to driver’s workers ensuring safety, service and productivity and reliability Requirements are met
• Maintain Syntellic, Paragon and Xatanet programs (knowledge of these software packages an asset)
• Maintain associated employee bids
• Maintain statistical information on employees, productivity, reliability, equipment, fuel, mileage, delivery schedules, service etc.
