UX QA Analyst

Responsibilities

1. Write and execute testing plans to assess compliance across several areas:
   • Accessibility, using functional and automated testing (ability to complete a VPAT template covering the required WCAG guidelines according to Quebec law).
   • Compliance with McGill’s institutional standards.
   • Project‑ or application‑specific standards as needed (e.g., Slate application form standards).
2. Write and execute testing plans to validate UX and UI quality based on assessment of:
   • UX copy for plain language, user‑aligned terminology, continuity, and basic alignment with standard usability heuristics.
   • Alignment with user research artefacts such as jobs to be done or customer design intent and quality (does the interface look and behave in a way that's cohesive, polished, and consistent with related or adjacent systems and platforms?).
