Summary This position is located on a Forest Service Civilian Conservation Center. The incumbent is responsible for the operation of the primary and secondary sewage disposal plant equipment used to collect, treat, and dispose of waterborne domestic waste, and related domestic water system. Responsibilities The incumbent is responsible for providing pretreatment, primary treatment, and secondary treatment of influent and effluent. Incumbent collects water samples, and performs extensive tests in order to determine biochemical oxygen demand, suspended and dissolved solids, and dissolved oxygen and acidity. Based upon the results of performed tests the incumbent will increase or decrease chemical agents; adjusting the rate of flow and amount of chemicals to be fed into the system.
