Job Overview
The Water Balance Modeller supports Aurecon’s commitment to shaping a sustainable and resilient future by delivering robust, data-driven water balance and flood modelling solutions. The role applies climate data analysis and advanced hydrologic and hydraulic modelling to inform safe, sustainable and client-focused outcomes across infrastructure, energy and mining projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform statistical analysis of climate data such as rainfall, evaporation and streamflow.
- Calibrate rainfall‑runoff models of various waterways using the Australian Water Balance Model (AWBM).
- Develop, calibrate and simulate water balance models.
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic (1D/2D) modelling to assess flooding on linear infrastructure and various energy and mining projects.
