Job Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), or flux-cored arc welding (FCAW).
- Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness.
- Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
- Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a welder within an industrial setting.
- Ability to interpret blueprints accurately.
- Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).
