Job Summary
A Shipyard Locksmith-Welder does welding and metal works for ships. This includes making and repairing locks, doors, hatches, ladders, and other metal parts onboard.
Job Duties
- Perform welding using SMAW, MIG, or TIG.
- Fabricate and repair shipboard locks, doors, hinges, hatches, railings, and metal fittings.
- Cut, grind, fit, and weld metal parts.
- Make sure welding work is safe and follows shipyard standards.
- Assist in ship repair and maintenance work.
- Always follow safety rules and wear proper PPE.

- At least 2–3 years experience as a Welder in a shipyard or marine work.
