Description
The core purpose of the Welder is to support the project by executing 7018 Stick welding of galvanized and steel parts. The Welder will use proper equipment and follow all safety and site procedures while working on site.
Specific Responsibilities
- Prepares and lays out materials for cutting and welding
- Maintains and makes repairs to welding all equipment
- Identify shortages in material and equipment
- 7018 Stick welding, including the following:
- Create quality welds according to blueprints (weld symbols)
- Inspect welds for accuracy
- Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel/galvanized parts
- Cleans and preps all welds for Painting
- Responsible for the proper packaging, identifying and moving of all finished products to the proper location
